MEDIA RELEASE
PERTH/BRISBANE: TWO media veterans – Cate Rocchi (of Perth Media) and Jack Newbould (of Brisbane consultancy Delphi Advisory) – have combined resources to form a strategic partnership in AI Media Intelligence consulting services, to service the Australian and Asian market.
Digital PR and Strategic Communications
“Digital PR is the future,” says Rocchi. “We aim to skilfully combine results in earned media, as well as social media, and track those results with a range of extraordinary new AI media intelligence insights and platforms that are now available for the first time. This data evaluates media campaigns and inform better business decisions.”
LLMs and Generative AI Optimisation (GAIO)
“In an environment where generative search, zero-click results, and Large Language Models (LLMs) increasingly determine how messages reach audiences, the communications industry is at an inflection point,” says Newbould. “We launched Delphi Advisory – a Generative AI Optimisation (GAIO) fluent strategic communications consultancy – this year,” says Newbould. “Its tech stack and workflows identify why action is needed, defines who the audience is, determines how and when to talk to them, and reports on what works.”
Exclusive Agreement for Western Australia
Delphi Advisory has signed an exclusive agreement to work with Perth Media in Western Australia.
It is important for companies and organisations to measure performance in the media (including ASR or Advertising Space Rate) and social media while adopting a GAIO (Generative AI Optimisation) framework. Companies that appear highly on LLMs (Large Language Models such as Perplexity and ChatGPT) are likely to outpace competitors and improve business results. This newly available technology now informs all Perth Media and Delphi Advisory media and public relations’ research and campaigns, and all digital content.
“Perth Media has formed a strategic partnership with Brisbane-based Jack Newbould, of Delphi Advisory, because it enables our clients to access Jack’s extremely high-level of skills in AI media data interpretation, accurate digital research and AI intelligence media consulting,” says Rocchi. “Jack is an exemplary media and strategic communications’ professional – whom I have known personally for more than eight years – and I am delighted to work more closely with him in this collaboration with various Australian clients.
Newbould says: “I have great respect for Cate, she’s willing to innovate rather than defend the status quo and our collaboration is about giving organisations clarity and confidence in how they engage stakeholders in this new era. The old playbook of counting clips and impressions no longer tells us how messages are landing, what matters is whether your brand is discoverable, credible and influential in the spaces people are actually searching – including LLMs. If you aren’t doing this, I guarantee your competitors are already shaping the narrative.”
AI Media Intelligence
“Right now, it is vital to establish strategic communications and public relations based on research and AI media intelligence is bringing vast new data sets to the table,” says Rocchi. “This has a direct impact on your media visibility, your business decision making ability and your media and communications strategies. So far, our technology clients have been the most proactive in using our intelligence services, but we hope more Perth Media clients and other ambitious Western Australian companies and government agencies come onboard shortly.”
Golden Age of PR
“There is no going back to 2024, everything changed this year,” says Rocchi. “With that change comes incredible opportunities for companies willing to learn and embrace new strategies. Some are describing 2025 as the Golden Age of PR that no one saw coming. That is because when our clients appear in traditional or ‘earned’ media such as a newspapers, for example, LLMs are finding that credible information (which has been assessed by reporters and editors before publishing) and then incorporating it into their responses (or outputs). There are whole new ways to rank that information on various platforms and we are only just beginning to understand how that will work and what that means.”
“Modern PR professionals are interpreters between truth and noise. We create meaning and verify information in carefully constructed due diligence processes. In 2025, the quality of everything we do, including our PR/communications strategies, has been supercharged by the ability to source AI-generated research at a fast pace.”
“Perth Media is increasingly working as a general communications and media strategist, applying global trends to a Western Australian audience in a culturally appropriate way,” says Rocchi. “Work in crisis communications, including preparing companies in case of a cyber-attack, has grown substantially. Additionally, Perth Media has also seen growing contracts supplying high-quality newsletters (for customers tired of AI slop) and in government relations or lobbying services.
